I don't know why, but the morning was eerie. There were no clouds, no noise, and nothing seemed to be moving. There are usually some sprinklers on, but they were all off. It was almost like running in a world where everyone has disappeared, but you weren't abducted by the aliens or you didn't get the memo. I thought I'd see someone on the Bluff or on the trail, but nothing. Finally, I came across some construction workers at the new fire station. After that, things seemed more normal. |
